Pollution, Biodiversity, and Health

Students create and revise a simulated barrier material to reduce particulate matter (PM) pollution in a chosen outdoor or indoor location. The goal is to protect biodiversity in environments with large amounts of PM pollution, or to decrease the amount of indoor PM pollution, to improve human health. The student's design and test their solutions, taking into account constraints, cost, safety, reliability, aesthetics, and social, cultural, and environmental impacts.
